So where do you get software for old, wvintage computers,
you ask? Or if you didn't, I'm gonna tell you anyway. The following
links will mostly be related to software for old versions of
Windows and MacOS.
PC (Windows and MS-DOS)
Winworld
- Probably one of the oldest players in abandonedware for Windows,
MS-DOS and the IBM compatible PC in general.
Mac
Macintosh
Garden - One of the largest archives of old Macintosh
software and operating systems in the world. Kudos for it being
actually compatible with old versions of Mac OS, so it can be
visited on native, time-appropriate machines.
Macintosh
Repository - Another large archive of vintage Macintosh
software and operating systems. Unfortunately it does require
registration for larger downloads, but at least it's free. Also
browsable from Mac OS Classic.
